a year in review

I can't believe it's January 31st and we are entering 2014! What a great year 2013 has been!  A recap of our year with pictures....

We started the year with a quiet, peaceful little baby...

 

 And ended with a noisy, rambunctious, loving 14 month old. Love watching my little man grow and his personality develop. He is turning into such a sweet little boy (he gets that from his daddy...)

enjoyed several weekends at Big Star Lake with family and friends. 

Spent two weeks exploring Colorado, Wyoming and Montana with with DeVries family

Celebrated Luke's first birthday

I became an auntie and Luke now has a cousin!

Joseph Peter was born on October 25

And why not end with a few more pictures of Luke....this kid has changed so much! 

There were ups, there were downs, but in the end 2013 was a very memorable one. Looking forward to the joys and challenges of 2014!

Merry Christmas

A very Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Our celebrating started on Christmas Eve and went through Friday the 27th. We packed a lot of fun and miles into those 4 days, and by the end we had a little boy who was exhausted! He was such a trooper and seemed to enjoy (almost) every moment of it. 

Christmas morning we were all up early to celebrate our family Christmas. Luke didn't quite get the whole opening presents thing...

 But enjoyed pulling presents out of his stocking!

The next day we traveled to Kalamazoo and celebrated with the DeVries family. 

A new growth chart from Uncle Ryan and Meghan. 

 A barn with all the farm animals. Luke LOVES animals right now...

Ending the night snuggling and reading with Great Grandma Kroeze.

A final Christmas party with the Baillargeon clan. I spent most of my time loving on my little nephew Joseph. He is already two months old and I don't get to see him much! It's hard taking him away from Grandma....

Had such a wonderful time with both of our families! But exhausted. Don't think we left the house on Saturday. Time to get back into a routine...Luke definitely needs his naps yet!

about time...

I had been contemplating starting a blog a little over a year ago, and today is the day it finally comes into existence! "A Little Peek" is a small glimpse into the life of the DeVries family. Let me introduce you to my boys, aka my entire life :) 

 My fun loving, easy going and charming hubby, Randy. The love of my life! Oh, and our little (terror) dog Leland. He was our first anniversary gift to each other (more to me, I BEGGED Randy for a dog!) He is named after a small town in Northern Michigan where we honeymooned. 

 Our spunky, sweet, blue-eyed baby Lucas. Luke was born on October 24, 2012. Can't believe he is one already! This past year he has brought so much joy into our hearts. What was our life like before him?! It is so exciting to watch him grow and see his bright little eyes discover new things. (One year photos taken by Walcott Imaging)
